eCommerce Strategy Services
JBA’s strategic services are dedicated to supporting mature or ambitious eCommerce and multichannel brands in developing business models, teams and processes that allow a business to operate at an optimum within their accepted limitations.
Important Strategy tasks and services:
Team Structure Development
JBA’s focus on top down planning has resulted in us consulting to key clients at the highest level. This includes providing direction on team structures, internal processes, and individual and team KPI alignment.
While not a common part of JBA’s consultancy, our appreciation of business at this level is what makes us an asset to our partner’s entire business. Our tactical planning also draws from our understanding of our client’s unique capabilities, ensuring that every plan is executable and sustainable at a business level.
Business Objectives
This involves eCommerce or Multichannel planning collaboration with senior stakeholders to determine the core online and multichannel objectives (and dependencies) for the year. We support those same stakeholders and teams in the creation of KPI’s and mapping of tactical initiatives to objectives.
Benchmarks and Targets
A crucial aspect of any plan or team structure is the actual benchmark “hymn book” that everyone metaphorically sings along to. JBA’s role here is to provide the data analysis and insight needed to either create benchmarks or partner with stakeholders in their creation. An important part of this benchmarking task is the initial and ongoing forecasting of results at all levels.
Competitive Analysis
The analysis of competitor activity is a demanding yet crucial one. JBA considers competitor insight in all levels of planning but focusses mainly on how competitor’s actions impact the response to our client’s in-market initiatives. Without this context changes in results often go unexplained and assumptions creep in and send everyone a little crazy. These are unnecessary distractions and a small amount of effort can help keep all changes in check.
